High-sensitivity differential adiabatic scanning microcalorimetry, differential scanning densitometry, phase-contrast and fluorescent microscopy with temperature control and high-sensitivity image processing, micromanipulation of individual lipid vesicles and cells, stationary and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, methods for preparation and control of lipid dispersions, monolayers and bilayer foam films.
