Research scope: In vitro cultures, micro-propagation and extended conservation of medicinal plants; Genetic stability of the selected medicinal plants through biochemical markers; Fast-growing culture of untypical roots (hairy roots) through transformation with Agrobacterium rhizogenes for obtainment of valuable biologically active compounds; Induction of undifferentiated tissues (callus and suspension cultures), suitable for mass-culturing in bioreactor for producing of biologically active compounds; Physical and chemical elicitors (light, UV-irradiation, nutrient media composition); HPLC spectrum of the biologically active compounds content in in vitro and in vivo plants of medicinal species cultivated in field conditions and also, in selected fast-growing clones from roots-, callus- and suspension cultures; Field and in vitro collection from the selected perspective clones.
