Profile

My interests are relatet to the influence of unfavourable environmental factors (high and low temperatures, drought, heavy metals, photoinhibition, CO2) on structure and functional activity of photosynthetic apparatus and its acclimation ability. Chlorophyll fluorescence and induction kinetics phenomena as an informative criteria for the physiological state of the photosynthetic apparatus are also objects of my research. I have expertise in assembling and applying systems for investigations of photosynthetic activity (CO2 and O2 analyzers, chlorophyll fluorescence measuring systems, oxygen electrodes, spectroradiometry, etc.), as well as with utilization of computers in this field of study. I use methods of statistics and mathematical modeling to relate the experimental data for gas exchange with biochemical parameters of photosynthesis.
