We are organizing a Scientific Conference “PLANT PHYSIOLOGY AND GENETICS – Achievements and Challenges” which will be held on 24–26 September 2014 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
You are welcome to join us to summarize and discuss the major achievements and future perspectives in the field of plant science in Bulgaria and the region.
Identification of genes, engaged in plant development and stress resistance control; Protein and non-protein markers for assessment of resistance/sensibility to abiotic stress; Analysis of CO2 assimilation rate, oxygen evolution rate, electron transport through PS1 and PS2and cyclic electron-transport flow, the activity of antioxidative enzymes, changes in protein and lipid contents of photosynthetic membranes for assessment [...]
We have the pleasure to inform you that Vol. 6 No 3-4 2016 of Journal ‘Genetics and Plant Physiology’ is available for download.
Manuscripts of high quality reviews, research papers and short communications are very welcome.
All papers are published in English.
The Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics (IPPG) was established within the Structural Reconstruction in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) in 2010, as a successor of the former Institute of Plant Physiology „Acad. Metodi Popov” and the Institute of Genetics „Acad. Doncho Kostoff”. The Institute of Plant Physiology „Acad. Metodi Popov” (IPP) is a successor and continuator of the Institute of General Biology founded in 1948 by the famous Bulgarian scientist Acad. Metodi Popov. In 1953, the Department of Agrobiology was separated as an Institute of Plant Growing at BAS (later the Institute of Genetics „Acad. Doncho Kostoff”), and in 1954 the Department of Forest Biology founded the Institute of Forestry. Since 1954, the Institute was renamed to Institute of Biology „Acad. M. Popov”, and in 1961 on the basis of the Department of Cytology, a Central laboratory of biochemistry at BAS originated, later forming the Institute of Molecular Biology. In 1964, a Central...
